| 2 | 雪まなき吉野の山をたづねても心のかよふあとたえめやは | And were you to move to deepest Yoshino, I still would find you, through unceasing snow. |
| 3 | 末とをき二葉の松にひきわかれいつか木たかきかげを見るべき | It is taken away, the seedling pine, so young.
When shall I see it grandly shading the earth? |
| 4 | 生ひそめし根もふかければ武隈の松に小松の千代をならべん | A seedling, yes, but with the roots to give
The thousand years of the pines of Takekuma. |
