2 | 花の香にさそはれぬべき身なりせば風のたよりを過ぐさましやは | If I were one who followed inviting scents Perhaps I might be summoned by the wind. |
3 | もとつ香のにほへる君が袖ふれば花もえならぬ名をや散らさむ | Ever fragrant, the royal sleeves touch the blossoms And bring them into higher and higher repute. |
4 | 花の香をにほはす宿にとめゆかば色にめづとや人のとがめん | Were I to follow the fragrance of the blossoms, Might I not be accused of wantonness? |
